Why join this tour

Our Bogotá to Cartagena bike tour is a journey across Colombia in every sense. Start high in Bogotá, well into the Andes, and reach legendary heights on Alto de Letras. Descend into the valleys of the Magdalena and Cauca rivers. Along the way, over the course of two weeks, the landscape changes dramatically around you: cool mountain air gives way to tropical heat, high-altitude roads become lush valleys, and the Andes eventually give way to the Caribbean. It is a challenging ride, but also a chance to experience Colombia far beyond the usual tourist route.

A country that changes before your eyes, where huge cosmopolitan cities like Bogotá and Medellín coexist with pristine countryside. Colorful towns and colorful people make Colombia so diverse, so unexpected, creating kaleidoscopic memories that finally come to rest on the shores of the Caribbean in Cartagena.

Is it for you?

This tour is for people who love riding, enjoy a challenge, and want to discover Colombia from the saddle. For those who daydream about conquering the Andes, discovering new roads, and experiencing a country where the landscape changes every day, this is your ride.

It is a long and demanding journey, with big climbs, consecutive days in the saddle, and plenty of miles between Bogotá and Cartagena. To make the most of it, we recommend staying active most days and comfortably riding at least three times a week for about 90 minutes.

Having said that, don’t automatically exclude yourself: this isn’t a race. If you ride regularly and want to take on the challenge, we’d suggest giving it a go. You can rent one of our e-bikes to take the edge off the climbs, or call on our experienced support team when you need a hand and ride the best sections of the tour.

Highlights of the Bogotá – Cartagena: Heroica route

Colombia in one ride

Two weeks, one extraordinary journey. Start high in Bogotá, cross the Colombian Andes, conquer Alto de Letras, pass through Medellín and follow the valleys of the Magdalena and Cauca rivers toward the Caribbean. Few cycling tours in Colombia let you experience such a dramatic change in landscape, climate and culture from the saddle.

Alto de Letras

One iconic BIG climb for one iconic tour. Nothing can quite describe what climbing Alto de Letras feels like. Is just worth being experienced.

The real Colombia

With days averaging 80 km (30 mi) and 2,000 m (6,000 ft) of climbing, the experiences isn’t limited to the bike. There’s a real treasure in the small interactions along the road with the locals. The Colombian hospitality is infectious and make you feel welcome at any given time.

Bogotá, Medellín and Cartagena

Three very different cities, one incredible journey. Begin in Bogotá, high in the Andes and surrounded by mountains. Ride through Medellín, Colombia’s famously vibrant city in the heart of the Aburrá Valley. Then leave the mountains behind and make your way toward Cartagena, where the journey finally reaches the Caribbean.

Work hard, play hard

We didn’t forget the vacation part. You’ll spend your days riding through Colombia’s mountains, valleys and countryside, but there’s plenty to enjoy when the bikes are parked. Good food, beautiful places to stay, Colombian hospitality and time to explore the places we pass through make the journey as rewarding off the bike as it is on it.

Premium service, Premium accommodation

Every detail is thoughtfully arranged. From the staff to the accommodation and the food, you’ll feel cared for both on and off the bike, letting conversation linger seamlessly at night.

The warm embrace

Feel that glow inside, whether from the sun gently toasting your skin or the genuine warmth of smiling locals. What you’ll take home isn’t empty KOMs, but a sweetness that lingers long after the ride.

How we make the magic happen

Providing the most memorable week of your year is quite a task that requires  a multitude of moving parts to fall into place at the right time. We have aligned everything to make it happen. Our staff, the hotels, and equipment are all ready. These tour days you are about to embark on are a celebration of life. We know it.

The Staff

We guarantee small groups, up to 12 customers, and each group has two support vehicles, and two riding guides. This a 1:3 Staff to customers ratio. The Guides are your Wingman, while the drivers are our Angels.
Max group size: 12
Guides : 3
Drivers (Road’s angles): 2
Support Vehicles: 2

The hotels

Along the meticulously planned route, we chase exclusivity wherever we can, and when the road winds into the mountains with simple, authentic charm, we lean right in. The ride — and the mountains — always come first.

The bikes

We partnered with Time for their exclusive bikes. Their good manners inspire confidence and refinement on the road. Paired with Ultegra Di2 and carbon wheels, they smooth every climb and descent. Feeling daunted? Grab an E-bike — same care, same ride quality.

The secret

The  real magic is mixing emotions and objects to create the best week of your year. Something you will remember in the years to come.
