Why join this tour

Want to see the Colombia the postcards leave out?

This isn’t a ride for ticking names off a list. Unless you consider Bogotá, Medellín and Piedra del Peñol. It’s for those chasing Colombia beyond the obvious: solitary climbs, empty valleys, dirt roads, and places only the locals know.

Every hard-earned kilometer repays you with stories, landscapes, and faces you’ll carry long after you’re home. If you’re chasing an experience, not a destination, this is it.

The irony? You’ll return with a bigger, truer postcard of Colombia than you ever expected.

Is it for you?

This one’s for cyclists who aren’t chasing Strava crowns or famous climbs. It’s for the curious, the restless, the ones who want to ride deep into the quiet places maps forget. RThis one’s for cyclists who aren’t chasing Strava crowns or famous climbs.

It’s for the curious, the restless, the ones who want to ride deep into the quiet places maps forget. Riders who trade polished loops for unpredictable roads and believe a good story beats a glossy landmark any day.

You’ll need solid legs, a stubborn streak, and a taste for a challenge. If that sounds like you — we’ll save you a spot.

To make the most of it, we recommend staying active most days and comfortably riding at least three times a week for about 90 minutes.

In a Nutshell

  • You enjoy long, challenging climbs.
  • You’re comfortable riding several consecutive days.
  • You regularly ride 3+ times a week.
  • You prefer backroads and dirt roads to polished cycling routes.
  • You want a challenging, adventurous gravel experience but you want a comfy bed at night.

Highlights of the Bogotá–Medellín route

The backroads of Colombia

Ride deep into the Andes on gravel roads that take you far beyond the routes most cyclists ever see. Small villages, remote valleys and roads where the adventure comes from not quite knowing what’s around the next corner.

Intoxicating green

Ride through parts of the Andes where the landscape feels almost jungle-like: remote, intensely green and largely untouched by agriculture. These are places you simply don’t encounter on the usual routes, where vegetation takes over and the mountains feel wild again.

One hundred years of Solitude

Ride through places where life moves at a different pace. Horseback is still a way of getting around, farms are small and local, and the road is part of everyday life rather than a route built for cyclists. These encounters and the genuine warmth of the people you meet, are what make the experience feel so authentically Colombian. At times feel like you are diving into a page of One hundred years of Solitude.

Work hard, play hard

We didn’t forget the vacation part. You’ll spend your days riding through remote corners of the Andes, then arrive at carefully chosen places where good food, comfort and recovery make the adventure feel complete.

The warm embrace

Feel that glow inside, whether from the sun gently toasting your skin or the genuine warmth of smiling locals. What you’ll take home aren’t empty KOMs, but a sweetness that lingers long after the ride.

“What Cyclists Are Saying”

How we make the magic happen

Providing the most memorable week of your year is quite a task that requires  a multitude of moving parts to fall into place at the right time. We have aligned everything to make it happen. Our staff, the hotels, and equipment are all ready. These tour days you are about to embark on are a celebration of life. We know it.

The Staff

We guarantee small groups, up to 12 customers, and each group has two support vehicles, and two riding guides. This a 1:3 Staff to customers ratio. The Guides are your Wingman, while the drivers are our Angels.
Max group size: 12
Guides : 3
Drivers (Road’s angles): 2
Support Vehicles: 2

The hotels

Along the meticulously planned route, we chase exclusivity wherever we can, and when the road winds into the mountains with simple, authentic charm, we lean right in. The ride — and the mountains — always come first.

The bikes

We partnered with Time for their exclusive bikes. Their good manners inspire confidence and refinement on the road. Paired with Ultegra Di2 and carbon wheels, they smooth every climb and descent. Feeling daunted? Grab an E-bike — same care, same ride quality.

The secret

The  real magic is mixing emotions and objects to create the best week of your year. Something you will remember in the years to come.

Share the adventure

If you can almost feel the warm breeze running through the coffee bushes but wonder if these gentler days might fit your partner too — they will. With most rides wrapped up by early afternoon, we’ve planned the rest of each day so you can explore Colombia’s rich culture together. Coffee tastings, farm experiences, watching hummingbirds and orchids in bloom — it’s all here to turn this into a shared adventure you’ll both remember.

The level for this trip is Advanced. Meaning we will spend big day on the bike and you have to be used to climb for several hours.
Yes, we offer bike rentals. We have some great Time bikes fitted with Ultegra di” 11 speed and carbon wheels.
The surface question is always hard to answer. Let’s just say that when we are riding on gravel it’s not super smooth. It’s not too technical either, but expect some rattling.
When we are ridign we will be in some remote areas, but we chose two iconic places to start and finish our ride in Bogotá and Medlelin. Along the way we will also hit other tourist attractions like El Peñol’s Stone.
